• The eggs and sperm cells taken from the intended father are fertilized in the laboratory environment using one of the two techniques mentioned above.

• The fertilized egg needs to undergo certain tests in the laboratory environment for 2–3 days or 5–6 days. These tests are carried out in an artificial environment where temperature and atmospheric conditions are maintained. The purpose of the tests is to find the healthiest fertilized egg to be placed into the uterus.

• If an embryo suitable for the intended mother develops under laboratory conditions, the embryo is transferred to the uterus. Local anesthesia may be required for some people during this procedure.

• During the initial egg retrieval stage, it may also be necessary to give the intended mother local anesthesia or sedation medications.

• Twelve days after the embryo is placed into the uterus, a pregnancy test can be performed. If the first test result is negative, it is recommended to perform another test a few days later.

Who Can Receive IVF Treatment?
